Summaries
Shawn: While this is not a glamorous line of work, I could see it being a profitable one. It will take someone that is a go getter that does not mind rolling up his sleeves and getting dirty to make this business work. Startup costs are right and potential paybacks are well worth any perceived risks. This is a business I could see myself in.
Will: I think cleaning service definitely has potential. This is for someone who lives close to a fairly large city with a lot of offices. They should enjoy working “after hours” and be willing to work! If you keep this business small, there is fairly little risk and something you can do on the side while working another job. If you expand in this business and get employees, you will move from cleaning to managing people. You have the ability to make more profit, but employees bring much more potential for headaches. You could also get into payroll issues, hiring employees, and turn-over issues. That will bring much larger challenges so make sure you are ready for them before you decide to expand.
